Smoking Policy

Shrivenham is a smoke-free station. Permanent residents only may smoke in the designated smoking area behind the Cormorant Hall Lecture Theatre.

Safety and Security

Guests are politely requested to avoid areas where musicians are setting up and performing. Scaffolding will be present on the front of the JSCSC building, and guests are asked not to touch or attempt to climb this. All guests are asked to remain vigilant throughout the evening and to report anything which they believe is suspicious or unusual to the JSCSC main desk (in the Forum). A number of areas in the building will be closed during the evening. Guests are politely requested to respect and adhere to the closed off areas.

In the event of an accident, however minor, the main desk must be informed.

Fire Exits

All fire exits within the JSCSC building are clearly marked with illuminated green signs.

In the unlikely event of a requirement to evacuate the building, guests are to listen for announcements and make their way to the nearest exit. Once outside, instructions will be provided by security staffs. Guests are to make their way to the Emergency Evacuation Point on the Cricket Pitch, adjacent to the Fairground.

Incidents

Mess Members are politely reminded that instances of inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. Mess Members are also responsible for the behaviour of their guests.

The Incident Control Point (ICP) will be the JSCSC Reception. In the case of a medical or security incident, or to report any other issue (inappropriate behaviour for example), please report to the ICP.

JSCSC Reception may be contacted on 01793 788 000 throughout the event.
